STEPS/PROCEDURE FOR DIRECT PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP/CERTIFICATION
IBDFM like most other reputable professional bodies, prior to the commencement of Professional Examination on the attainment of its CHARTERED status, has approved a Direct Professional Membership concession for suitably qualified individuals. Direct Professional Membership/Certification means that interested applicants with at least a Bachelor degree or HND in any discipline particularly in Business and related subjects (such as the ‘FAME’ group – Finance, Accounting, Management and Economics), are privileged to be admitted without Examinations but MUST acquire requisite professional knowledge and skills on the TEN MODULES contained in the Institute’s Complete Study Pack via self study and regularly attending Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD).
The Study Pack is a “must-have” for all members as the cost is enshrined in the Induction fees and will be given to all members on the induction date. The ten modules are: Fundamentals of Business Diplomacy, The Mechanics of Diplomacy & Diplomatic Etiquette, International Business Management, Theory & Practice of Management, Entrepreneurship & Business Etiquette , Fundamentals of Financial Management & International Finance, Basics of Economics & International Economics, Essentials of Financial Risk Management & Insurance, Introduction to Taxation & International Taxation, Business & Financial Intelligence,
Below are the steps for Direct Professional Membership/Certification:
Obtain application form for a non-refundable fee of N5,000
Submit the completed application form with photocopies of credentials, curriculum vitae i.e. CV, two recent passport photographs and evidence of payment of N5,000 non-refundable application form fee (Receipt or Teller)
Pay the prescribed Training/Induction fees shown on your admission letter into the Institute’s Account and not to any agent or consultant and keep your bank teller or slip safe.
Attend the Institute’s Training/Induction Ceremony with your admission letter and bank teller or slip on the date communicated to you and be trained and certified as a Professional Business Diplomacy and Financial Manager.
